today my professor told me
every cell in our entire body
is destroyed and replaced
every seven years.

how comforting it is to know
one day i will have a body
you will have never touched.

I came upon a child of God

He was walking along the road

And I asked him, where are you going

And this he told me I’m going on down to Yasgur’s farm

I’m going to join in a rock ‘n’ roll band

I’m going to camp out on the land

I’m going to try an’ get my soul free

We are stardust

We are golden

And we’ve got to get ourselves

Back to the garden

(…) By the time we got to Woodstock

We were half a million strong

And everywhere there was song and celebration…”

Come on baby, light my fire

    Funny fact:
This is the infamous performance of “Light My Fire” by The Doors on The Ed Sullivan Show in September of 1967.

Jim Morrison and the band had been asked by the producer of the Sullivan show, Bob Precht, to alter the lyrics of the song so as to eliminate the phrase “we couldn’t get much higher.” due to the drug implication. The band agreed to change the lyrics but come show time Morrison sang the lyrics as written. As a result, The Doors were banned from ever again appearing on The Ed Sullivan Show.
